stairway to hope - intake program

Stairway to Hope is our initial intake assessment that identifies potential risk areas. The aim of the program is to empower those experiencing financial hardship to become financially stable, develop life skills, and become secure in their housing. Our team will assess what programs you may be eligible for, such as Foodbank or Financial Literacy, to help you achieve financial stability.

drive-thru foodbank

The Drive-Thru Foodbank is a contactless program where our team places pre-packed parcels in your car, consisting of pantry items, fruit and vegetables, perishables, and hygiene products. We are able to accomodate most dietary requirements.

This service is only available on Thursdays by appointment.

Food home deliveries

Each Thursday, Hope City Mission provides a food home delivery service for those who have no access to transportation or are unable to leave their home due to illness. If you live within a 1okm radius of Hope City Mission, you may be eligible for this service.

The home delivery service provides pre-packed food parcels consisting of pantry items, fruit and vegetables, perishables, and hygiene products. We are able to accomodate most dietary requirements.

Please note there is a delivery fee.

We would like to thank the Maroondah City Council for partnering with us and supporting our food delivery services through the Emergency Relief Grants Scheme.

We offset all our carbon emissions from our home deliveries.

Financial Literacy

We believe in long-term solutions, rather than temporary fixes, to regain control over your financial situation. Our Online Learning Portal has financial literacy and life skills courses to provide you with the practical knowledge and tools to be empowered. Topics include budgeting, rental assistance, superannuation, preparing for employment, no interest loans, and more.

WDP Fines Victoria

Hope City Mission has partnered with Fines Victoria to provide eligible people a non-financial option to address fine debt. The Work and Development Permit Scheme allows an eligible person to work off fine debt by participating in our Online Learning Portal. Participants will watch financial literacy and life skills courses, and complete quizzes to work off their debt.

Fines Victoria

Advocacy

Our team can advocate for you to seek a resolution to an immediate financial crisis you are facing. We negotiate with creditors on your behalf to seek workable solutions to debt.
